Regionhospitalet Gødstrup optimizes bed handling and frees up valuable space with E/Porter

Regionhospitalet Gødstrup aimed to optimize the handling of hospital beds, free up space, and reduce manual transport between departments. The existing solution resulted in limited storage capacity, long transport distances, and an increased need for physical handling, negatively impacting both the working environment and operational efficiency.

With the implementation of four E/Porter solutions from EFFIMAT, Regionhospitalet Gødstrup has significantly improved both logistics and capacity utilization. Beds are now stored in vertical towers, where both clean and used beds are handled centrally, providing full visibility of capacity and status. The solution is strategically located close to the wards, significantly reducing transport time and ensuring an efficient flow, where a clean bed is automatically ready when a used one is returned. At the same time, the need for separate storage areas has been eliminated, and staff no longer have to manually transport beds. The centralized handling via the bed washing system also ensures a consistent and high hygiene standard.

The result is a more structured and efficient operation, where the hospital has freed up valuable space, improved the working environment, and optimized the daily handling of beds.
