Kvik A/S optimizes warehouse management and improves ergonomics for employees

Kvik is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe solutions and has an extensive warehouse with a wide range of products. The company has a large logistics flow and serves customers in several countries with fast and efficient deliveries through approximately 180 stores spread across 12 markets.

To meet increasing demand and improve the working environment for warehouse employees, Kvik has implemented a new warehouse solution with two Effimat 4 and two E/Classic. Before the implementation, the goods were stored in a regular pallet warehouse with 230 locations at floor level. This meant that pickers often had to work at inappropriate heights, which increased the physical strain. With the EFFIMAT solution, all goods picking is now concentrated in a more ergonomic station, where the goods are presented at a height that reduces the strain on the employees.

The new warehouse structure not only means a better working environment, but also a more efficient operation. The picking speed has tripled, error margins have been reduced, and the storage space has been optimized by freeing up 220 previous picking locations in the regulated pallet warehouse by moving them to EFFIMAT machines. At the same time, the system has made the picking process more intuitive and safe.
